About Me

My name is Ian Cooper and I’m a vastly experienced award-winning professional freelance photographer covering all aspects of commercial, corporate, public relations (PR), event and portrait photography and videography.

I’m based in North Wales near the English border with Chester. I cover the North West of England including Cheshire, Wirral, Merseyside, Lancashire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. If required I also serve clients across the UK and abroad. I frequently work in cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Wrexham and Birmingham. My current clients include some of the most prestigious corporate businesses and PR agencies across the UK.

My experience as a staff photographer for over 15 years for some of the biggest names in regional and national newspapers has allowed me to photograph just about every type of assignment. These assignments have included covering dozens of royal visits, Champions League football, high society events, glittering prize dinners and capturing some of the biggest news stories across the UK and internationally - with everything in between. Indeed, if a big event has happened in the North West or North Wales, the chances are I’ve had my camera pointed at it!

I pride myself on delivering compelling work to a strict brief and a tight deadline and I’m passionate about making sure my images stand out and tell a story, be that for a local business or a national newspaper.
